I always feel funny leaving without saying goodbye. Here it is, the usual night before the morning we are to leave somewhere. Starting Monday, I'll be teaching three days in Los Gatos, CA at An Artful Journey. I'm so excited to see new and old friends alike. I'm quite envious of theman and ponies, though. They get to go camping while I'm teaching. I love camping. The scents, the forced-simplicity. No entertainment but nature, maybe a book, and each other. You know how those late nights are in tents with whispering and giggles. That's us. The herd. I'll get a couple of nights in on the tail end of the trip.
I'm taking with me a little pile of goodies to share with the folks. Here's a peek.
I have a stack of tunes crammed into the iPhone. Here and here are two of my current favorites. Another hefty pile of audio books. Likely not much of either pile will be touched. There will be too much window staring and husband-wife visiting to get involved in a good story. The road trip will be upwards of 7.5 hours and I'm letting the ponies stay up late so they sleep as much as possible. I'm sure I will too. Road trips rock.
