Here's a picture for you...
My two hands covered in white paint.
Sleeping in a guest bed.
A freshly updated/redecorated room waits down the hall as a suprise for someone special.
Missing my ponies and puppies and man and land and all the flavors of home while...
Practicing presence where I am. Now.
Towering Mt. Timpanogas sleeps a stone's throw to the east in the same place she slept when I was 10 and would stare at her out the back door of the house i grew up in. She's thick in the middle...too many fluffy cotton candy clouds for lunch.
Canyon breezes.
Crickets.
Late night/midday/during breaks scheming up the details of my next online workshop. My mind works on it when my hands can't.
Yeah. So that's where I am. I'm here that isn't there where I usually am when I say I'm "here". "Here" is usually home but for now "here" is a couple of states over while the herd holds down the fort at home.
Enough of the blindfolded geo locating.
Like I said before - I'm scheming up a new online class. I've been in scheming mode for a while but I'm actually in planned-out mode. The date is set and everything. It even has a name: "Off The Chain"...as in "crazy and exciting; delerious and wild. By analogy to a frenetic dog when unleased." (according to Wiktionary)
When I get home to my own computer and whip up a pretty little picture show for you to take a gander at, you'll be able to see for yourself. If you happen to have some experience with taking a class with me - online or in person - you know that I'm going to be packing that week of class with videos and written instructions galore on how to make your own chains with design variations aplenty, tons of technical prowess, and maybe even a tip or two on how to use your new found chain making skills to strengthen your relationships in my new book tentatively titled "How to Keep Mr. Right from Walking Out". It's the prequel to my yet-to-be-written book, "The Guaranteed Way to Keep Empty Nest Syndrome at Bay: A Child, A Chain, An Attic".
But I digress. Where was I? Oh yes...
...If you also happen to be the up-for-anything type and are gung-ho to dive into an online metalsmithing adventure with me this fall, you can register early at a discount. Thirty-five buckaroos ($35!!) for a loaded week of instruction! I'll only have this available for a short while and then the registration will open at the full price of $45.
Let's get the pre-party party started, eh!?
