Thanksgiving was very quiet 'round these parts. The only cooking that happened at our house was making a spinach/blueberry/dried cherry/candied walnut/balsamic reduction salad to contribute to the extended family dinner. I love cooking AND I loved not having to on that day. I needed to just chill. Pony #1 made a decadent pumpkin/cream cheese dip that was oh so tasty and the leftovers got dumped into a graham cracker crust and frozen to make a delicious dessert that we've been enjoying sliver by frosty sliver.
I have a scary statistic to share with you. Three out of five children get the "lets look as goofy as possible in pictures" gene from their dad. It's sad, I know, but important for you to be aware of your risks if you are considering having more kids.
One of those three kids might try to compensate for it with sharp shooter skills that will make you choke on your turkey with surprise. She's that good (or so we've been told by family who have taken her out to the range. I'm lucky if I can remember where the beebees are for the gun we own, let alone how to load it.)
I'm a word-puzzle-piecing fool these days. My spirit is on fire. Beautiful, vibrant flames. I'm crafting up the best way I can think to start off 2013 and I can't wait to share it with you. If all goes on schedule, Wednesday will be the day. I'm all ruffled up about doing what I'm doing here behind the scenes that I decided a little exciting ebook sale to go along with it all would be fun too. Both my metalsmithing ebooks are now on sale until December 15th and since you'll get an actual disk chock full of techniques, videos and how-to information it would make the perfect gift for someone you know who might need a little injection of creativity. That might be you. That might be someone else. Either way, the content in these ebooks is not going to loose it's shine any time soon. There are no parts to break, no warrantees to register for, no rebates to redeem. Just idea generating creativity mixed with sleeve-rolling-up hands on.
To take advantage of this awesome deal, check out my Homesteader's Metalsmithing Ebook here and Handbook of Elements ebook here.
Okay. Back to word crafting. It's like an addicting game of solitaire.
