Summer. Busy, glorious chaos.
I am being tempered by the refiner's fire. I feel stronger every day (except on the days when I don't and those are the days when a long sleep would be the ticket).
Recently Theman suffered a back injury which led us down an unplanned path of total bed rest, excruciating pain, MRI's, x-rays, neurosurgeons, and a lot of tears, hugs, and life-reevaluation. There's nothing like a derailment to inspire you to take a closer look at your trajectory! We've cried, prayed, taken many deep breaths, and feel that we are finally on the long road to restored health and recovered mobility. We have sidestepped surgery for now but he's being watched for the next little while before given the all clear. He's doing much better. So much better and if all goes as it has been, he'll be good as new by mid to late fall!
As any of you who have suffered any kind of physical injury, sometimes the path is slow. Part of our journey has included the reevaluation of my near future and how I can map out the plans I've had in place for offering my art and teaching in various forms. I love teaching. I love being with you students whether virtual or live. I am so grateful when i have the opportunity for that energy exchange and I always leave the class revived and inspired by my students.
Theman is my tech dude when I'm teaching my online classes. He is my camera man and video editor. He is also my lighthouse when I am on creatively stormy seas. With all that has been going on, we are not prepared for the September start date of Homesteader's Metalsmithing Revamped. We need more time - to recover, regroup, recalibrate. I'm not willing to fake it. I'm not willing to rush it just to meet a deadline at the expense of high quality. We need a little more time to make HM Revamped the dynamic, fleshed-out, fully-informative offering I dreamed it to be and that you deserve it to be...what we were on track with creating when Vince got injured.
We've rescheduled this online workshop to start on January 20th and end on February 14th. With your registration you will still get the ebook version of the entire class - every minute detail, video, written word, link, etc. - so this if the new timing isn't ideal for you, you'll still get all the content.
I thank you - deeply, truly - for joining me on this and
other adventures and for making it possible for me to support my family
through my craft. Now, more than ever, it is a gift that I am so very
If late winter finds you in a creative slump, this workshop might just be the good medicine you need.
