I'm thrilled to be a part of this small group of artists who are collaborating with the talented Jeanne Oliver in exploring the work and techniques of the masters!
The concept or apprenticeship is brilliant and brings the practice of working artists today together with the experiences and approaches of artists from the past. Each of the 9 participating artists will be focusing on the works, techniques, mentorship, and perspectives of 9 different master artists. During the week that that you will be working with me, we will explore the transportative magic of Edward Hopper's work. I'm so drawn in by the way he uses structure, light, and the intentional presence of open space to bring you into a half-told story. (I always feel a slight breeze when I view his works).
Here's what Jeanne has to say about the concept and inspiration of the course:
Freedom to pull from everything around you that inspires you and how to incorporate it into your art.
This is the Art of Practicing.

All videos are pre-recorded and available to watch at your convenience. None of our videos are live so you can access them any time you are ready. You have access to this course for over one full year and you will have plenty of time to watch everything again and again if you wish.
We will have a live, written Q&A time once a week with one of the instructors. If you miss this time slot you will still be able to read all the discussions on the website.
